I wanted to practice and play around with layering photos and masking different parts of them, to create a collage type photo. Mostly this was for practice, and I feel like its too busy as a final piece.
Honestly, I don't think the image is too busy or chaotic, especially with the context of the images, the message is supposed to be loud and expressive. Which I think matches well with the movement the layer creates. Adding layers on layers creates depth and varying different sections people can stop and look at. And maybe even question what they are looking at.
I agree. I don't think it's too chaotic. I think the bigger middle figure adds a nice place for the eyes to rest so it's not overwhelming. I really like the layering you have going on, I think it's pretty successful.
My idea for this project is to photograph someone running, maybe even racing, and piece together the movement similar to the example of people doing a crossword we saw in class. I want to show facial expressions and body movements with this, and think it would be really cool printed life size (but idk if I’ll actually be able to print that big.) I was a track and field athlete most of my life and know how much is happening in your head when running and want to show that in picture form.
